Pain Management Specialist Jersey Rehab to Open New Location in Hackensack, NJ
Practice Provides Comprehensive Diagnostic Processes and Solutions to Help Patients with Acute and Chronic Pain-causing Conditions

Belleville, NJ – Jersey Rehab & Pain Management, a community-based practice founded two decades ago, is adding a fifth location dedicated to delivering accurate diagnoses and innovative treatment for those suffering from acute or chronic pain. Scheduled to open in early autumn, the new office will be located at 87 Summit Avenue in Hackensack, NJ.
As a practice focused exclusively on the relief and management of acute and chronic pain, Jersey Rehab provides the sort of comprehensive diagnostic processes and solutions that only true field specialists can offer. Its team of physicians includes physiatrists Edwin M. Gangemi, M.D., Robert A. Marini, M.D., Shailendra Hajela, M.D. and Felix Almentero, M.D., each of whom are fellowship trained and board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Several practice members also hold additional board certifications in Pain Management, Sports Medicine and other related fields.
Jersey Rehab & Pain Management uses diagnostic procedures that include computed tomography (CT) scans, which are specialized x-rays; electromyography (EMG), which is used to evaluate the health of muscles and the nerves that control the muscles; nerve conduction studies (NCS), which measure how quickly nerves conduct electrical signals through the body; and stellate ganglion blocks, which can both diagnose and treat pain coming from the sympathetic nerves.

Through this level of expertise and state-of-the-art diagnostic tools, Jersey Rehab has developed a reputation for significantly improving the lifestyles of patients who have tried other pain interventions, medications, surgeries and physical therapy but found little relief. Jersey Rehab has a proven track record of helping even long-suffering patients determine the causes of their pain, relieve and/or manage it and regain strength and stamina in affected areas.
Examples of conditions treated by Jersey Rehab include chronic back pain, fibromyalgia, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, work and sports-related injuries, as well as serious disorders of the musculoskeletal system that result in severe functional limitations, such as injuries from a car accident or a fall. Once a diagnosis is procured, patients have a variety of options available. These include both general body therapies and treatments for a wide variety of body parts, including the back, shoulder, elbow, head, neck, spine, hip, leg, knee, foot and hand.
