Paving Work Planned In Fair Lawn: What Drivers Should Know

FAIR LAWN, NJ — Drivers traveling through Fair Lawn may want to check their routes before heading out in October, as a busy stretch of fall paving work gets underway and could affect traffic.

PSE&G has milling and paving scheduled on roads across the borough through Oct. 22, according to Fair Lawn's 2026 Fall Paving and Roadwork Notice.

The borough has also been posting updates throughout 2026 about utility work involving PSE&G and Sanzari on Fair Lawn roads.

Third Street is scheduled for milling Oct. 1 and 2 on three sections: Bergen Avenue to Legion Place, Bergen Avenue to Fair Lawn Avenue, and Hopper Avenue to Fair Lawn Avenue. Paving is scheduled Oct. 7.

Campbell Road between George Street and River Road is scheduled for milling Oct. 2 and paving Oct. 7.

Three sections of Raymond Street are scheduled for milling Oct. 2 and paving Oct. 7: from 309 feet south of Campbell Road to Campbell Road, from 309 feet south of Campbell Road to 155 feet north of Bergen Avenue, and from Bergen Avenue to 155 feet north of Bergen Avenue.

Cross Meadows from Raymond Street to its end and PRW 19 from Raymond Street to its end are also scheduled for milling Oct. 2 and paving Oct. 7.

Lake Street from Weber Place to 131 feet west of PRW 20, Oak Street from Maple Avenue to PRW 20, Creek Court from Lake Street to its end and PRW 20 from Oak Street to its end are scheduled for milling Oct. 5 and paving Oct. 8.

Cedar Street from Maple Avenue to its end is scheduled for milling Oct. 5 and 6, followed by paving Oct. 8.

Forest Street from Maple Avenue to its end is scheduled for milling Oct. 6 and 7 and paving Oct. 9. Chester Street from Maple Avenue to its end is scheduled for milling Oct. 7 and paving Oct. 9.

Two sections of Fern Street are scheduled for milling Oct. 8 and paving Oct. 12: Myrtle Avenue to Maple Avenue and Myrtle Avenue to 402 feet west of Myrtle Avenue.

Central Avenue from Lake Street to its end is scheduled for milling Oct. 7 and 8 and paving Oct. 12. Myrtle Avenue from Fern Street to its end is scheduled for milling Oct. 8 and paving Oct. 12.

River Road between Hopper Avenue and Morlot Avenue is scheduled for milling Oct. 14 and 15, followed by paving Oct. 22.

The borough said the schedule is subject to change because of weather or unforeseen circumstances.
