Planning Board, Environmental Commission Looking for New Members

Ever wanted to get in on the decision making around here? Have a knack for architecture or ecology?

The Fair Lawn Borough Council is seeking candidates for openings on the borough's Planning Board and Environmental Commission.

Any Fair Lawn resident is eligible to apply by filling out a Citizen Leadership Form at the borough's website and returning it to the clerk's office at the municipal building.

Applicants should also include a cover letter as well as a resume or biography detailing work experience or education relevant to the position.

Completed applications can be sent by email to munclerk@fairlawn.org, by fax to (201) 475-1581, or mailed to the clerk's office at 8-01 Fair Lawn Avenue.

The Planning Board opening is for a four-year term, starting from January 1 this year, and the successful candidate for the Environmental Commission will serve a three-year term.

The Borough Council will review applications and make the appointment.
