Public Meeting on Cycling, Walking Path Plan is Thursday

Cyclists and walkers will be able to enjoy the outdoors more thanks to plan that is being drawn up for central Bergen County.

County officials are developing the plans after hearing from residents about how to make riding bicycles and walking on dedicated paths more enjoyable and safer. Ridgewood is one of the municipalities where the project is occurring.

Officials solicited residents’ thoughts and ideas for the project. A public meeting will be held to discuss the plan with residents before officials approve a final document. The meeting will be held Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Elmwood Park Recreation Center, 500 Boulevard, at the corner of Market Street.
