Red Cross Cleanup Kits Available In Fair Lawn
The American Red Cross distributed the cleanup kits last week, and now they're available for residents on Tuesday and Wednesday.
FAIR LAWN, NJ — American Red Cross cleanup kits are available at Emergency Management Building, located at 10-11 Fair Lawn Ave., as cleanup efforts from Tropical Storm Ida continue for residents.
The American Red Cross distributed these kits to the county, who in turn set up shop at Overpeck County Park last week to hand them out to local officials.
This week, the kits are available for residents to pick up on a first come, first served, basis on Tuesday and Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. each day.

The news comes after disaster declarations were approved for a handful of New Jersey counties after the storm tore through the region, dumping heavy rain and causing widespread flooding.
This allows residents to register online for direct assistance for Ida-related recovery, which may include home repairs, temporary housing, low-cost loans, and other programs to help recover from the effects of the tropical storm.
