River Road District Encourages Shopping Locally During the Holidays

Businesses on Fair Lawn's River Road traditionally decorate their storefront windows during the holiday season.

The holidays are a special time of year on Fair Lawn’s River Road. Brightly painted storefront windows plus streetlights decorated with festive wreaths, bows and twinkling lights invite shoppers and visitors to join in the celebration of the season.

The warm welcome provided by the businesses of the River Road District adds to the hometown feeling of hospitality and goodwill, noted River Road Improvement Corporation president Bob Landzettel. The holiday decorations have become a tradition, a special way for the district’s business and commercial property owners to celebrate the holidays and wish everyone a happy, healthy and joyous holiday season.

“During the holiday season, we encourage people to shop and dine locally, supporting the mix of family-owned and operated stores, restaurants and service providers plus the recognized brand names like Walgreens, CVS, STS, Auto Zone and Blockbuster,” Landzettel said. “The businesses in Fair Lawn’s River Road District offer a wide range of products from around the world, plus personal and professional services perfect for distinctive gifts for family and friends.”
