Saddle Brook dog rescue to be at Petco Hackensack 3/4 from 11-4

Come out to support a local dog rescue on Saturday 3/4 from 11-4 at the Petco in Hackensack. Pawsitively Furever is run by Laura Witzal, who has been saving dogs for the last 5 years from being euthanized. It's amazing to see the transformation from shelter to furever homes. Please come out Saturday to support and adopt a wonderful dog or puppy.

Here are a couple of our saves. Lacey a 2 yr old shepard mix found herself in the shelter with her pups. All her pups were adopted, however Lacey was not gaining weight and was emaciated. She was scheduled to be put to sleep. We stepped in and took her immediately. Now she has a wonderful home with a fur sister and a family that adores her.Crispi was an owner surrender. Upon meeting him I knew I had to get him out of the conditions he was in. He was matted to the skin with urine soaked fur, his teeth were rotting out of his mouth. We took Crispi to the dentist where it was found he had holes from his canine teeth into his nose causing all the food and water to come out his nose. We took care of Crispi but later found that he had nasal cancer. He lived with me for 6 months. The best 6 months this little guy has led. He went on trips, ate ice cream, watched tv and had fun just being Crispi. He subsequently succumbed to his cancer. And I still cry when I think about him.So Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you have done for me and our dogs. Please take this challenge and help us do so much more
