Saddle Brook Man Charged For Sexual Assault Of Child: Prosecutor

SADDLE BROOK, NJ — A Saddle Brook man has been arrested after the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said he engaged in sexual acts with a child under the age of 13.

Jeffrey Pinto, 59, of Saddle Brook, was arrested Tuesday after the Division of Child Protection and Permanency received information that Pinto had sexual contact with a child under 13 in Garfield, New Jersey, the Prosecutor's Office said.

Upon further investigation, the office said, it was determined that Pinto also engaged in sexual acts with the child in Saddle Brook, as well as Pennsylvania.

He was arrested Tuesday and charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault by sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child.

According to the Prosecutor's Office he is being held in Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in court.
