Mahwah Upsets Saddle Brook in County Softball Tournament
Saddle Brook High School softball lost to Mahwah, 6-2, Saturday in the round of 16 at the Bergen County tournament.
The heavily-favored Saddle Brook Falcons were clipped by Mahwah, 6-2, Saturday in the second round of the Bergen County tournament atSaddle Brook High School.
The No. 4 Falcons got on the board first with two runs in the second inning, but failed to plate a run the rest of the game. After stranding runners in each of the first four innings, the No. 13 Thunderbirds finally broke through with a six-run rally in the fifth inning that staked them to victory.
