ShopRite Honors Employees for Service
Inserra Supermarkets, which owns and operates ShopRite, opened its first store in 1954.

Inserra Supermarkets, the owner and operator of 22 stores throughout Northern New Jersey and Rockland County, N.Y., including one in Fair Lawn, celebrated 58 years of service recently by honoring 408 associates for their combined 5,335 years of service at a reception at the Sheraton Mahwah Hotel.
Among the distinguished employee honorees were Fair Lawn residents Jeffrey Schultz (20 years of service) and William Polyi, Time Totaj, Julio Balmaseda, Michael Correia and Anthony Ferreira (all 5 years of service).
“These very special individuals inspire all of us at Inserra Supermarkets to carry on the legacy of our founder – my grandfather – Patsy Inserra, each and every day,” Inserra president and CEO Lawrence Inserra, Jr. said in a statement. “Even though the supermarket business is much different than it was when we opened our first store in Lyndhurst almost six decades ago, our associates continue to make the communities in which our stores are located a better place to shop, work and live.”
