These Fair Lawn Teachers Are Among The Highest Paid In NJ

FAIR LAWN, NJ — A few local teachers are among the highest paid in New Jersey.

The state Department of Education released its annual list of teachers' salaries for 2017. The Fair Lawn teachers who made the list all make significantly more than the average statewide salary of $70,637, which also includes librarians, guidance counselors, and other non-administrative staff, according to an NJ Spotlight analysis.

The local teachers who are among the 1,000 highest paid are:

• Yun Wang, Thomas Jefferson Middle School, $134,699
• Scott Avidon, Fair Lawn High School, $121,457
• Luisa Trocchia, Fair Lawn High School, $115,999
• Steven Mondadori, Fair Lawn High School, $113,895
• Kathryn Meneghin, Fair Lawn High School, $113,385
• John Nihen, Fair Lawn High School, $113,308
