The verdict stems from a July 6, 2024, domestic incident.

DELAWARE, NJ — A Hunterdon County man was found guilty of threatening a police officer with a gun.

"The jury could not reach a unanimous verdict regarding an additional count, charging third-degree aggravated assault by pointing or displaying a firearm at a law enforcement officer," said Robeson.

The verdict stems from a July 6, 2024, domestic incident.

The Delaware Township Police, including Lieutenant Elliot Gray, went to Swantkoski’s home on a report of a domestic dispute.

When the police arrived, Swantkoski came out of his home and had a semiautomatic handgun with the purpose of terrorizing Gray, said Robeson.

Sentencing is scheduled before Judge Christopher Garrenger on June 18.
