Fort Lee To Host Free Mental Health Awareness Event This Week: What To Know

FORT LEE, NJ — The Fort Lee Health Department will host a community discussion on mental health titled "Let's Talk About Mental Health" this Friday.

The event will be held on July 31, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Fort Lee Public Library, 320 Main Street.

The free educational program will cover the basics of mental health challenges and disorders, how to support a family member or friend who may be struggling, common risk factors and warning signs, and protective factors that promote mental health resilience.

The session will be presented by Rachel Weil, MA, LPC, ACS, NCC, CCMHC, of Care Plus NJ.

The event is part of the department's ongoing effort to promote mental health awareness and connect community members with valuable resources.
