The Fort Lee Peace Vigil invites all members of the community to join in a march for peace on the International Day of Peace. The march will start at the site of The Fort Lee Peace Vigil at the corner of Lemoine Avenue and Bruce Reynolds Boulevard at 4pm, proceed up Lemoine Avenue, turn right at Main Street into Leonia, and take a right on Broad Avenue, ending at approximately 5pm at the United Methodist Church, where the Leonia Peace Group will host the remainder of the events for the day.
According to the Fort Lee Peace Vigil, "The International Day of Peace follows only days after our commemoration of 9/11, and is a universal wake-up call to individuals and communities around the world to share in a special dedication to their efforts to keep peace at home and abroad."
