Singers: Audition for Verismo Opera Chorus
Artistic Director Lucine Amara announces open auditions for male/female vocalists (professional, amateur, retired) to sing.
Artistic Director Lucine Amara announces open auditions for male/female vocalists (professional, amateur, retired) to sing in the Verismo Opera Chorus. Male choristers, representing all vocal ranges and ages, are especially needed.
A working ability to read music and experience singing are required. The audition consists of singing five note scales. During the audition process, each singer’s range and vocal category will be determined by Chorus Director Mara Waldman. Applicants do not need to bring a song or music to the audition.

Choristers will perform in costume accompanied by a live orchestra in the fully staged productions Carmen on April 26, 2015 and Lucia di Lammermoor on October 18, 2015 at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, NJ, at 3:00 p.m.
Applicants interested in learning more about Verismo Opera, the 2015 season, and the Verismo Opera Chorus are invited to attend the organization’s Open House on Saturday, January 12 at 2:00 p.m. at 44 Armory Street in Englewood.
