Preschool at Chabad Fort Lee Celebrates Purim
Dressing up in Preschool at Chabad Fort Lee is so much fun!! Especially when we get to eat homemade cookies too!!
The students in The Preschool at Chabad of Fort Lee enjoyed their Purim preparations as much as their celebration. They practiced doing the four Purim Mitzvot (customs) that begin with the Hebrew letter MEM. They created their very own Megillat Esther, the scroll that tells the story of Purim. They discussed what to serve at their Mishteh (Purim party, the special meal we eat on Purim day). They baked homemade Hamentashen (three cornered treat filled cookies) to share with friends in the Mishloach Manote baskets (purim gift baskets) they put together to give out on Purim day. And they even made Tzedakah (charity)boxes to collect money to give to poor people, Matanote La’Evyonim.
