NJ Woman, 92, Dies In Freehold Car Crash: Police
A 92-year-old female resident of Freehold died in a car accident on Wednesday morning, according to police.
FREEHOLD, NJ — The Freehold Township Police Department responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision earlier this morning, said Public Information Officer Mark Spivey.
At roughly 11:45 a.m. a Lexus RX350 SUV driven by a 66-year-old female resident of Freehold and a Ford Taurus driven by a 92-year-old female resident of Freehold collided at the intersection of Jackson Mills and Stone Hill roads.
Officials immediately took the driver of the Ford to a nearby hospital, where she was officially pronounced dead a little less than an hour after the collision. The driver of the Lexus was also transported to the hospital, where she is receiving treatment for her injuries.

The circumstances behind this incident remain under investigation by the multi-jurisdictional Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART).
According to Spivey, the surviving driver is cooperating with authorities.
