40th Freehold CROP Hunger Walk This Sunday!
Sunday, October 19th at 1:30 PM, Freehold walkers will raise money for local and world hunger needs: St. Peter's, 33 Throckmorton St.
The Freehold Area CROP Hunger Walk will be held on Sunday, October 19th, with registration at 1:30 PM and the walk at 2 PM, beginning and ending at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 33 Throckmorton Street, Freehold Borough. Walk donations benefit hungry people and refugees in 80 countries and 25% of the money raised returns to local food banks. Walkers may select a mini-mile or not-quite three mile route. Jersey Mike’s half-subs will be available for a suggested donation of $5. Water will be
available at St. Peter’s and walkers bringing their own containers may also fill them for free. All walkers turning in pledges will receive a t-shirt. Gifts of peanut butter or other food for Open Door and pledges should be turned in at registration. Walkers with pledges over $200 will receive a CROP cap. The walker with the highest pledge total at walk time will be our honored Walk Marshall. Youth can earn Service Project credit by collecting pledges and participating in the walk.
