5 Monmouth County Schools Rank Among Highest SAT Scores In NJ

Students in the Monmouth County Vocational School district earned some of the highest SAT scores throughout the Garden State.

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — Five high schools in the Monmouth County Vocational School District (MCVSD) have ranked among the highest average SAT scores in New Jersey, the Board of County Commissioners recently announced.

In a statement from Thomas A. Arnone, the Commissioner Director, Arnone said that the scores earned by students across the district are “a testament to their hard work, determination, and pursuit of excellence.”

“Having multiple MCVSD schools ranked among New Jersey’s highest-performing high schools demonstrates the strength of the district’s academic programs and the dedication of its educators," he continued. "We congratulate these students on an achievement that brings tremendous pride to Monmouth County.”

Students from MCVSD earned some of the highest SAT scores in New Jersey. Details are as follows:

  • High Technology High School: Ranked second in the state with an average combined score of 1,509, including 770 in math and 739 in reading and writing
  • Biotechnology High School: Ranked third with a combined score of 1,461 (742 math, 719 reading and writing)
  • Academy of Allied Health and Science: Ranked 10th with a score of 1,367 (696 math, 671 reading and writing)
  • Communications High School: Ranked 18th with a combined score of 1,321, including 644 in math and 677 in reading and writing
  • Marine Academy of Science and Technology: Ranked 23rdwith a combined score of 1,298, including 657 in math and 635 in reading and writing

“These rankings further reinforce what we have long known: MCVSD provides students with exceptional opportunities to succeed at the highest levels,” said Commissioner Deputy Director Dominick “Nick” DiRocco, liaison to the MCVSD.
