Special Ed Teacher Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Monmouth County Middle School Student

The teacher, an Ocean County resident, is accused of assaulting the Freehold Intermediate student on multiple occasions, authorities said.

FREEHOLD, NJ — A teacher at Freehold Intermediate School has been charged with aggravated sexual assault of one of her students, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office announced Saturday.

Allison Havemann-Niedrach, 43, of Jackson has been charged with one count of first-degree aggravated sexual assault and one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said.

Havemann-Niedrach had been a special education teacher at Freehold Intermediate School since March 2022, according to her LinkedIn profile. She has been a teacher or a substitute teacher at several schools dating back to 2008, according to her profile.

The prosecutor's office said the investigation found Havemann-Niedrach began sexually assaulting the child earlier this year. Authorities did not say how the conduct came to light or how many times she had assaulted the student.

Havemann-Niedrach was arrested without incident on Thursday and is being held at the Monmouth County jail in Freehold Township, pending a first appearance and detention hearing.

The case is being prosecuted by Monmouth County Assistant Prosecutor Danielle Zanzuccki, director of the Special Victims Bureau. Havemann-Niedrach is being represented by Thomas Huth of Freehold.
