FREEHOLD, NJ — Multiple roads are set to close on Monday for Freehold's 152nd Memorial Day Parade.
Beginning at 6 a.m. on Monday, borough officials said the following roads will start to close:
Certain access points to the Downtown Area will be closed starting at 6 a.m., officials said.
No local or thru traffic will be allowed between 7:30 a.m. and the end of the parade, which is set for about 12:30 p.m.
Borough officials are asking drivers to plan an alternate route and keep road closures in mind when traveling to and from their homes.
No vehicles will be allowed to go through the barricades for any reason once the roads close, and no cars will be allowed to park on those roads.
Starting at 6 a.m. on Monday, there will be a No Parking Ordinance in effect, in addition to the 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. road closure.
The best way to maneuver around the center of town would be to use Park Avenue (Route 33) to get to Route 9 or to Kozloski Road and Robertsville Road to Dutch Lane Road or East Freehold Road, officials said.
There will be no access to Monument Street from Crestwood Drive and Edgewood Drive. Residents can access through Birch Drive only.
