Heat Dome Engulfs NJ: Ways To Stay Cool In Monmouth County

As temperatures reach the upper 90s and 100s, here are some safety tips to keep in mind and ways to stay cool:

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — New Jersey is in for a hot and humid holiday weekend as a "heat dome" engulfs much of the East Coast.

According to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service (NWS), dangerous heat will bring highs in the mid- to upper 90s on Wednesday and heat indices over 100° in many areas.

That heat will worsen through Friday, when widespread temperatures at and above 100° are forecast.

An Extreme Heat Warning has been activated for much of the Garden State in the midst of this heat wave, which is expected to bring temperatures above 100° to New Jersey.
