FREEHOLD, NJ — Freehold Raceway Mall has launched a new community-driven rewards program that turns everyday shopping into support for local schools.
Set to run from Aug. 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027, School Cents aims to make it easier for shoppers to give back to their communities through their shopping receipts.
HOW IT WORKS
For every purchase made at Freehold Raceway Mall — whether it's back-to-school shopping, a dinner out, a salon visit or a holiday gift — shoppers earn points for their designated school by uploading their receipts through the School Cents app.
The more receipts shoppers upload, the more points their school can earn. Bonus points opportunities will be available throughout the program year.
10 local schools were chosen to participate this year, competing for a shared prize pool of up to $15,000 based on the points they accumulate.
Prizes range from $500 to $4,000 per school, with funds supporting classroom technology, curriculum supplies, student resources and more. Prize checks will be presented in April 2027.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Shoppers can get started by downloading the School Cents app and selecting their preferred participating school.
From there, you can shop at the mall, save receipts and upload them through the app to start earning points.

Freehold Raceway Mall will celebrate the School Cents kickoff with a launch event on Aug. 22 & 29, and Sept. 5th from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lower Level, Zara Court.
94.3 The Point will help kick off the program and Back to School with giveaways, activities, and Back to School styles — open to all shoppers.
