Marlboro Parents Push Petition for Safer Bus Stops After Route Changes (wrat.com) — Parents in the Freehold Regional High School District, including a Marlboro family, are pushing a petition for safer bus stops and walking routes after route changes forced a student to walk along dark, sidewalk‑free Tennent Road. District officials say they're reviewing parent feedback on stop locations and routes while also citing driver shortages and legal compliance requirements.
3. 2026 Shore Conference Girls Soccer Week 4 Top 10 (shoresportsinsider.com) — Girls soccer fans in Freehold can track how both Freehold Township and Freehold Boro fit into this week's Shore Conference Top 10 picture. The rankings recap recent results and preview key upcoming matchups, including Trinity Hall visiting Freehold Township and later hosting Freehold Boro, which could shake up division races and postseason seeding.
4. Highlands man charged in fatal stabbing of roommate, prosecutor says (app.com) — A Monmouth County prosecutor in Freehold has charged a Highlands man with murder and weapons offenses after his roommate was found fatally stabbed in their North Street home. The suspect remains jailed pending a detention hearing, and he is represented by a Freehold-based attorney as county investigators continue reviewing the case.
