There are many benefits of joining, ranging from personal pride and enjoyment of saving a neighbors life to some other material things, depending on availability, such as wireless phone discounts, life insurance policies, college tuition discounts, scholarships for EMTs who pursue Paramedic and graduate degrees in health care, FREE EMT training, newsletters, computer discounts, and other Borough sponsored incentive programs. But the number one reason people join - is because they have it in their heart to care about people other than themselves and to help their friends and neighbors in need.
