Applewood Hosts "State of the Community" Address

On May 4, Applewood, a non-profit CCRC affiliated with CentraState Healthcare System in Freehold, held its annual "State of the Union" address for community residents and staff.

Presenters included John T. Gribbin, FACHE, CentraState chief executive officer; Thomas W. Scott, FACHE, FABC, senior vice president and chief operating officer; and Keith Grady, LNHA, Applewood executive director.

While most continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) don't voluntarily provide 'state of the community' presentations, Applewood believes these annual reviews serve as a vital communication channel to inform members about Applewood's health as a continuing care retirement community, today and tomorrow.

Resident and Staff Communication Key to Community Success

“When I came to Applewood three years ago, one of my goals was to provide residents and future residents and their families with a transparent view of our community,” says Keith Grady. “From our fiscal health to marketing efforts to new floor plan introductions, we share information and, in turn, welcome feedback and ideas from our membership.”
