Back To School: Freehold Regional High School District Calendar
Wednesday, Sept. 7, is the first day back for all students in the Freehold Regional High School District in the 2022-2023 school year.
FREEHOLD, NJ — Back-to-school planning is well underway at the Freehold Regional high School District, with the school calendar available to help parents and students prepare the for 2022-2023 school year.
The district is located in western Monmouth County and its approximately 10,400 students attend its six high schools: Colts Neck, Freehold, Freehold Township, Howell, Manalapan, Marlboro high schools.
Ninth-grade orientation for the district schools is Tuesday, Sept. 6. Schools open for all students on Wednesday, Sept. 7.

Here are some important dates for the new school year:
- First day of school for all students: Sept. 7
- Thanksgiving recess: Nov. 24-25
- Winter recess: Dec. 23, with early dismissal; schools reopen Jan. 3, 2023
- Spring recess: April 5, with early dismissal; schools reopen April 17, 2023
- Graduation Day: June 22, with a rain date of June 23
