Ballot Drawings Set For 2026 Primary Election In Monmouth County: See Details
The drawings will determine the order that candidate names will appear on the ballot in the 2026 Primary Election.
MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — Ballot drawings to determine the order that candidate names will appear on the ballot in the 2026 Primary Election are set to take place in April, Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon said.
On Thursday, April 2, at 3 p.m., the ballot drawings will take place at the Clerk of Elections Office in Freehold.
Ballot drawings for primary elections are held in accordance with state law N.J.S.A.19:23-24 and are open to the public.

Races in this year’s Monmouth County ballot drawing (conducted by the Clerk of Elections) include:
- U.S. Senate
- U.S. House of Representatives
- Monmouth County Surrogate
- Board of County Commissioners
Drawings for local races, as well as Republican and Democratic County Committee seats throughout Monmouth County, will be conducted by each respective locality’s Municipal Clerk’s Office.

This ballot drawing will take place at the Clerk of Elections Office located at 300 Halls Mill Road in Freehold and will also be live-streamed on the Monmouth County Clerk’s Office YouTube Channel.
