Beck Stands Up for Monmouth County Seniors

Senator Jennifer Beck believes that retirees should keep more of their pensions and retirement income.

Senator Jennifer Beck is the prime sponsor of S2169, which increases the former $675,000 estate tax threshold with a true tax exclusion set at $1,000,000, beginning January 1, 2017. The bill increases the exclusion amount to $1,250,000 for 2018, $1,500,000 for 2019, and $2,000,000 for 2020. For 2021 and thereafter, the bill sets the exclusion amount at $2,500,000.

Additionally, Senator Beck is the sponsor of S477 which phases out the estate tax completely over a five year period and S998which increases an individual's retirement income tax exclusion five-fold over a period of five years.
