Ever imagine what it would taste like to grind up some chickpeas, form it into a ball and then fry it? Usually served in a pita or flatbread, this delicious thing is called falafel and if you're curiosity has been piqued then head on over to Ibby's Falafel home of the Famous Falafel.
The first Ibby's Falafel was opened by Adnan Kwara in Jersey City 16 years ago before expanding to locations in Freehold and Hoboken. The secret to their success is a family recipe that has been honed over the years.
You can feast on falafel, hummus served with tahini and olive oil, baba ghanoush, grape leaves stuffed with rice and mint, foul madammes served hot. There are also other Middle Eastern specialties like shawarma made with fresh lamb meat or chicken, shish kabob, or Greek salad. Ibby's Falafel has combo sandwiches and platters that will leave you feeling full and with the knowledge that you had a healthy meal.

They also cater large events and parties either at your place or in their restaurant. When the weather is nice, they offer outdoor seating.
The restaurant is open seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
