Cecilian Music Club Congratulates Summer Scholarship Winners
The Cecilian Music Club offers scholarships for students attending summer music programs, and has just announced its 2017 winners.
The
Cecilian Music Club has announced its winners for the Cecilian Music
Club scholarship for the summer of 2017. Each winner has been
awarded $500 towards the cost of a summer music program. Christopher
Pan and Li Yuan Burne, both students of Chiu-Tze Lin of Englishtown,
attended the Bravura Youth Orchestra Russian Concert Tour. Pieter
Lootsma, a student of Marina Strakovsky of Rumson, attended the High
School Composition Intensive at Boston Conservatory.
Students
in grades 6 through 12 are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
They must also be students of Cecilian Club members, and must submit
an essay of 300-400 words describing how the music program of their
choice will help them achieve their musical goals.
The
Cecilian Music Club congratulates the winners, and extends its thanks
to the Cecilian Scholarship Committee and to its Chair, Ms. Barbara
Lerro of Freehold.
