Chris Smith - A Record of Excellence

Mr. Josh Welle's campaign has insulted the 38 years of service Chris Smith has given to the 4th District and to the people of this country. Welles fits the Nancy Pelosi description of the "hand-picked" candidate that will win back the HOUSE. He is young; he is a political novice and he has" nuanced" issues in his platform s that might "Cause" him to lose the election while highlighting the Democratic standbys that usually garner support. Welle's is campaigning with a lot of backing. That wonderful picture of him looking very handsome with a toothy smile is meant to substitute for substance. His Platform reads like 2008. He hopes the people in the 4th district won't investigate what Chris Smith has done and will just listen to rhetoric and insults. Although there is no way this article can list every accomplishment of this wonderful Congressman, it paints a picture of a man who works for US ALL.
Chris Smith has worked for his District and the people in it. His work toward finding a cure for Lyme's Disease directly reflects the needs of his constituency. People in this area know the pain and suffering this heinous disease can inflict. Chris Smith saw the need for legislation and garnered support to establish "The National Tick Born Diseases Control and Accountability Act." This allows for studies to research new and more effective cures. It also deals with the diagnosis which is very often confused with Epstein Barre or Depression. The earlier the diagnosis the better chance for a complete recovery and Smith makes that clear in his speeches.
Chris Smith authored the $265 million dollar Stem Cell Therapeutic and Research Re-Authorization Act of 2015 on Dec. 18, 2015 This authorized funding of $265 million for cord blood and stem cell research and treatment over five years. He also wrote the first original Law which established a nationwide program ethically researching umbilical cord blood and bone marrow cells. That landmark law was reauthorized in September 2010 for another five years.

He has written laws to protect against human sex trafficking and his website clearly denotes his deep respect for women as it lists his many Bills and Laws to protect women. In fact visiting his web site and actually seeing ALL he has done might be beneficial before voting for a man with no real experience and a lot of campaign money behind him. These laws include the 2016 International Meghan's Law that fights exploitation.
.Congressman Smith has written 12 Laws to help our returning Vets which is and has always been his major concern. Chris Smith in the last year has been honored by Autism Speaks, The Orthodox Union of America and for his work in the fight against Muscular Dystrophy.

Although his opponent has accused him of a plethora of failures, what I see when I investigate this man is a multitude of accomplishment aimed at helping the people of this country. I urge everyone considering voting for his opponent to examine his record.
