'Code Blue' Alert Activated In Monmouth County: Where To Find Shelter
Cold weather is expected to continue in the coming days. Here's where you can access warming centers in Monmouth County:
MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — A “Code Blue” alert has been activated in Monmouth County, keeping warming centers and shelters open to those in need.
“Code Blue” is put in place when temperatures drop below freezing (32°F), and conditions pose a threat to unsheltered individuals.
According to the Monmouth County Government, the current “Code Blue” alert is in effect until 9 a.m. on Monday, March 2.

If you or someone you know does not have shelter, here’s where they can go (shelters listed are ones currently displayed as open on NJ 211):
- Monmouth County Division of Social Services: 3000 Kozloski Road, Freehold (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
- Hope and Comfort Center: 166-168 Shrewsbury Avenue, Red Bank (Adults only, check-in begins at 5 p.m.)
- The Feast NJ, Women’s Heart Warming Center: 90 Maple Avenue, Red Bank (Adults only, check-in before 4 p.m.)
- Trinity Episcopal Church: 503 Asbury Avenue, Asbury Park (Adults only, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.)
