Cool, Canadian air mass takes hold
Cool, Canadian air will be in place through Saturday but rain is on the way for next week

Canadian high pressure will be in control through the rest of the week with clear skies, light winds, and temperatures averaging near to below normal through the period. The next threat for rainfall will be on Monday with the remnants of Tropical Storm Odile and an advancing cold front.
High pressure will be in control through tomorrow with clear skies to scattered cloud cover. Winds will be from the north and northwest at around 5 mph. Temperatures this afternoon will rise into the upper 60’s to lower 70’s over the interior and New York City metropolitan area and lower to mid 70’s in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. Low temperatures tomorrow morning will range from the lower to mid 40’s over the northern interior, mid to upper 40’s over the western suburbs of Philadelphia and New York City, and lower to mid 50’s along the coast and in urban areas. High temperatures will range from the upper 60’s to lower 70’s over the interior and lower to mid 70’s in the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas.
High pressure will remain in control for Friday and Saturday with clear skies to scattered cloud cover. Winds will be light and variable at 5 mph. Low temperatures on Friday will range from the lower to mid 40’s over the interior and upper 40’s to lower 50’s along the coast. High temperatures on Friday will range from the mid to upper 60’s over the interior and upper 60’s to lower 70’s along the coast. On Saturday, temperatures will range from the lower to mid 50’s for lows and mid 70’s for highs throughout the northern Mid Atlantic.

A strong cold front with a wave of low pressure will move through the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas on Monday with periods of rain expected. Temperatures on Sunday will range from the upper 50’s to lower 60’s for lows and mid to upper 70’s for highs. Temperatures on Monday will range from the upper 50’s to lower 60’s for lows and mid to upper 70’s for highs.
