Canadian high pressure will be in control through the end of this week leading to very pleasant weather conditions for the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas. However, unsettled conditions will return for the weekend leading to the threat for showers and a few isolated thunderstorms.
Today through tomorrow, scattered cloud cover to clear skies are expected as high pressure slow drifts to the north of the northern Mid Atlantic. Winds will be from the north and northwest at 5 to 10 mph. Temperatures this afternoon will rise into the upper 70’s to lower 80’s for highs. Temperature tomorrow will range from the upper 50’s to lower 60’s for lows and lower to mid 80’s for highs.
Clear skies to scattered cloud cover can be expected on Thursday and Friday. An isolated shower is possible but unlikely. Winds will veer to the southeast at 5 to 10 mph. Temperatures will range from the lower to mid 60’s for lows and lower to mid 80’s for highs.
