Dave Portnoy Reviews Family-Owned Freehold Pizzeria
The local pizza shop is one of the latest restaurants to appear on Portnoy's "One Bite Pizza" series. See his review:

FREEHOLD, NJ ā Known for his famous pizza reviews, Dave Portnoy recently made his way to Freehold to give his thoughts on a local pizzeria.
Romeoās Italian American, located on Elton Adelphia Road, is a family-owned-and-operated neighborhood pizzeria thatās been supporting and serving Freehold since 1972, according to their website.
Recently, Portnoy paid a visit to the shop and gave his review of their pizza for his āOne Bite Pizzaā series.

While at the restaurant, another patron even spotted Portnoy and offered his own pizza rating.
āA guy in there was whisperingā¦he came up and goes āthis isnāt going to be more than a 7.2,āā Portnoy said. āI was hoping 7.4, because I love that guy [the owner] in there and heās so excited.ā

āIām not gonna break his heart with a 7.2,ā Portnoy decided. āI canāt do it, butā¦7.4, thatās the review.ā
Alongside Romeoās pizza, Portnoy also tried some of their fried mozzarella bites, though he didnāt score those. Instead, Portnoy talked about how much he loved them and said they were ālike candy.ā
On their Facebook page, Romeoās Italian American expressed their gratitude for Portnoyās visit, and said it was an honor to have him there.
āHuge thank you to [Dave Portnoy] for stopping by and checking out what weāre all about at Romeoās Italian American,ā the restaurant said. āIt was an honor to have the worldās biggest pizza influencer himself in the shop, and we couldnāt be more excited for the review.ā
