FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, NJ — A sobriety checkpoint will take place on Friday night into Saturday morning in Freehold Township on Route 9 north, with northbound vehicles diverted into Juniper Plaza, authorities say.The checkpoint will be in effect from 10 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday, according to the Monmouth County DWI Task Force.Local officers will work alongside Task Force members at the checkpoint, according to Allenhurst Chief Michael Schneider, Monmouth County DWI Task Force Coordinator.
