Environmental Advocates Feature Congressman As Speaker In Freehold
The League of Conservation Voters will host an event Aug. 7 in Freehold, featuring environmental advocate Rep. Andy Kim, D-NJ.

FREEHOLD, NJ —The League of Conservation Voters will host a fundraising event Aug. 7, featuring a talk by environmental advocate Rep. Andy Kim, D-NJ, the Monmouth County Democrats say.
There will be a reception and an environmental talk by Kim, from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the American Hotel, the League said in a news release.
"As the political voice for the environment in New Jersey, we're constantly gearing up to elect state and local champions who are going to make protecting our air, water, and open space a priority," the League said in an email.

"Especially with the Supreme Court's decision to rob the Environmental Protection Agency of its power to help fight the climate crisis, we need to double down on our work in 2022," it added.
It is an opportunity to meet Kim personally and help elect pro-environment lawmakers at the state and local levels in New Jersey, the League said.

The event is Sunday, Aug. 7, at 2 p.m. at the American Hotel, 18 E. Main St., Freehold, 07728.
