The event is for asthma sufferers; relatives and friends of people with asthma; school administrators, educators, and nurses; and anyone concerned with preventing, managing and responding appropriately to this potentially life-threatening condition.
Participants can speak with experienced respiratory therapists, certified asthma educators, and physicians, and get the latest information about asthma, including action plans; self-monitoring skills; trigger avoidance; proper medication techniques; and secondhand smoke risk.
Light refreshments will be served. The event is free, but space is limited and registration is required.
