FBAC St. Patrick's Parade and Events

Get your green on and join the Freehold Borough Arts Council for a short parade with Irish entertainment afterwards, all day long

The Freehold Borough Arts Council is planning its Fifth Annual St, Patricks Day Parade on Sunday March 13th, 2016. The parade will start marching at 12 noon. In continuation of our annual tradition, this is a short parade followed by activities immediately afterwards. All events are a family friendly way to celebrate Irish cultural arts.

The parade will begin at Freehold Borough Town Hall, located at 51 West Main Street, and proceed to the Hall of Records located at 1 East Main Street. At the Hall of Records there will be Irish dance and musical performances. The featured Performance will be students from the Rosemary Warnock-Seery School of Irish Dance.

Miss Monmouth County, Alexa Nicole Pantaleo, will sing the national anthem at the stage.

This years parade Honorary Grand Marshals are Dr. & Mrs Nahum & family. The Community Grand Marshal is Rosemary Warnock-Seery.

Some of the parade participants are as follows: A Marine Corps League Color Guard, Rosemary Warnock-Seery School of Irish dance, The Monmouth County Fire & Police Pipe and Drum Band, the Freehold Fire Department, The Freehold Elks MC 1454, The Freehold Kruisers, Raising Hope for Others, Stone Blue Band, and more.

There will be contests during the parade. Awards will be given to best dressed baby up to age 3, best dressed dog, and best decorated bicycle.

After the parade and stage entertainment, there will be a dinner and dance party at the Freehold Elks Lodge 1454. The Elks will be serving corned beef sandwiches for $8 and corned beef dinners for $10. Back by popular demand will be the Pat Roddy Band. Admission is free and all are invited to attend. The Elks Lodge is located at 73 East Main Street.

While at the Elks Lodge, the FBAC is sponsoring an Irish Soda Bread Contest.
