Firefighters Battle Throckmorton Street Blaze In Freehold Township
Breaking: NJ Transit is warning of possible delays in bus service; the fire is on the 200 block of Throckmorton, just east of Route 9.

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, NJ — Firefighters and emergency personnel are on the scene of a working structure fire on Throckmorton Street in Freehold.
Monmouth County Police Fire & EMS reports the fire is on the 200 block of Throckmorton, and that mutual aid and a rapid intervention team have been requested to help.
NJ Transit tweeted the fire activity may cause some delays in its bus service in the area, because the fire scene is just a short distance east of Route 9.

Bus services traveling on Route 9 and Throckmorton St in Freehold may experience delays and detour due to Fire Activity.

Motorists are being urged to avoid the area if possible and exercise caution.
Radio transmissions indicated the fire had been knocked down by 2:30 p.m. Investigators are on the scene, the transmissions indicated.
