Fireworks, Concert In Freehold Are On July 3

An Independence Day concert and fireworks are planned for July 3; reading of the Declaration of Independence is July 4.

FREEHOLD, N.J.— The Independence Day Concert and Fireworks will be on Sunday, July 3, at Freehold Raceway. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., according to the borough.

There will be live entertainment by the Rock & Roll Chorus, Lil Asmar & Garden State Prodigies, RockitFish. Kason Jackson will sing the Star Spangled Banner. Radio stations WRAT & WJRZ will provide music for fireworks and food vendors will be on hand.

No pets, coolers or backpacks are permitted.

Blankets and folding chairs are permitted.

On the morning of July 4, there is a reading of the Declaration of Independence at 9 a.m. at Borough Hall, 30 Mechanic St.
