Freehold Community Garden Turns 10

Freehold Community Garden celebrates 10 years of growing.

The Freehold Community Garden is excited to extend a warm invitation to
everyone in the community, to come at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 21st,
to join in their 10th anniversary celebration. The Garden is located at
18 Lloyd Street in Freehold Borough. Among those attending will be
Mayor J. Nolan Higgins, Councilman Michael DiBenedetto and Commission
Chairperson Susan Greitz.

The garden was started in August 2008 when Donna Koloski reached out to
the Monmouth County Master Gardeners (MG) on land leased by Trap Rock
Industries.

The Community Garden is actively seeking members who want to grow their
own vegetables with the aid and the supervision of master gardeners.
