Freehold Elks Helping Homeless Vets
The Freehold Elks lodge and a local boy scout are collecting to help our homeless veterans
The Freehold Elks lodge is doing a collection to help our homeless veterans when they are placed in the new housing. The Elks of New Jersey have been working with various organization throughout the state to help find them homes. Their goal is simple, we will mot stop until every Veteran is in a place to live. When each of them move in, we as Elks try and make sure they have everything they need to move in. We have collected everything from pots and pans to furniture and will store them until each veteran is ready to move in.
Freehold as a lodge is helping a local boy scout who is going to be an eagle scout. Charlie Coglian a member of the lodge, a Marine Corps Vet and a scout master, is helping his son Anthony Cogliano to make it to that prestigious rank in the scouts. He has chosen this as his project, which is required to obtain eagle scout. This past weekend he put a table together for a collection at a the local school for a craft fair. He has asked the Elks to continue to be a drop off point which they have agreed to do.
The flyer posted above is what they are collecting for the vets. Anthony and the lodge is asking for help in obtain his goal and helping our Veterans have what they need to help them get back to a normal lifestyle. Please if you can, help donate to this great cause. For anymore details or to drop off any items please call 732-431-8707 to make sure the lodge is open.
