Freehold High Schools' Afterschool Activities Canceled Tuesday

Breaking: Cancellations were announced in the Freehold Township elementary district as well, all due to the oncoming storm.

FREEHOLD, NJ — School district officials in the Freehold Regional High School District and the Freehold Township School District have canceled all afterschool and evening events that were scheduled for Tuesday, March 20.

Officials made the announcements Tuesday afternoon.

In the Freehold Township schools, the Tuesday aftercare program will operate on its regular schedule, officials said. All other afterschool and evening activities have been canceled.

Freehold Regional officials said all high school afterschool and evening activities are canceled. The Scholarship Donor Workshop at Freehold Township High School has been rescheduled to 6 p.m. on April 11, officials said.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning on Tuesday morning that extends through Wednesday evening. A nor'easter that is expected to hit in two waves is predicted to bring at least 12 inches of snow and as many as 18 inches to most of Monmouth County, as of noon Tuesday.
