Freehold Holding Free Rabies Clinic

The borough's clinic is a chance to get your pet vaccinated before you renew its license.

FREEHOLD, NJ — If you need to update your pet's rabies vaccination before you renew its license for 2018, the borough Board of Health is hosting a free clinic.

The clinic is set for 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 27 at the firehouse located at 49 West Main St.

Dogs must be leashed, and cats must be placed in carriers.

Residents also will be able to get their 2018 dog and cat licenses at the clinic.

Licenses for dogs are $11.20 for spayed dogs and $14.20 for non-spayed dogs. Cat licenses are $10.

All licenses must be purchased by Feb. 28; there is a late fee of $5 after that date and a $1 late fee for every month past the licensing date. Rabies vaccinations must be valid through Oct. 31 of the licensing year to receive a license.
