Freehold Woman Wins In 'Survivor' Season Finale

A Freehold woman has become the second person from New Jersey to win the CBS reality show "Survivor" in the last five seasons, according to a report.

Michele Fitzgerald, a 24-year-old bartender from Freehold, won $1 million after winning the final vote over Aubry Bracco, a 29-year-old marketer from Cambridge, Mass., according to NJ.com.

The NJ.com report said Jersey City cop Tony Vlachos won the title in 2014.

Fitzgerald was a surprise winner of "Survivor: Kaoh Rong," which pitted brains against brawn against beauty. Fitzgerald was on Team Beauty, along with fellow finalist Tai Trang, a 51-year-old gardener from San Francisco. Bracco was on Team Brains.
