With support for music and the arts shrinking every day, our students are slowly losing access to quality music education, which studies show increase academic achievement, encourages creativity and innovation, teaches students how to collaborate and makes them more compassionate persons. These are certainly attributes needed in our ever-changing society.
Our blood drive is a “gift of life” that earns vital funding for the work we do as an association (providing scholarships, facilitating off campus performance opportunities, etc). If we can secure 100 pints of blood on May 8th at Freehold Boro High School cafeteria, Robertsville Rd & Rt 79, each school’s music departments will receive a $500 donation.
Students from both schools will also earn community service hours by helping prospective donors through the registration and offering snacks during the recovery process.
