FREEHOLD, NJ — Members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, along with officers from the Asbury Park Police Department, participated in a recent Thanksgiving Day food distribution event in Asbury Park.

And in a post on its Facebook site, the office took some time away from its legal responsibilities to talk about generosity and hope on a day now set aside as "Giving Tuesday."

"Giving Tuesday is an opportunity for people and communities to come together in the spirit of generosity. No matter what or how you decide to give, generosity in helping others, in any form, is a priceless gift," the post said.
