Lets meet Julia Rivera - a local Freehold visual artist
Julia Rivera is a local artist that runs 448 Contempo Gallery, a studio / gallery space at 2 Main Street West Freehold NJ, 07728.

I met Julia more than a year ago at her studio space 448 Contempo Gallery in New York. She was hosting a collective exhibition for a group of Puerto Rican artists and I was really impressed with the show but especially with several clay figures that happened to be Julia’s work. Today I have several of Julia Rivera’s pieces in my collection (paintings and multimedia sculptures). In fact, Julia’s art pieces are highly collectible and I would say that you can’t resist the temptation to have another one every time you visit her studio.
Julia’s imagery has been described by Manuel Alvarez Lesama (art critic in San Juan Puerto Rico) as “a combination of humor and poetry to conceive well balanced scenarios where the mundane and metaphysical establish dialogue about time and the human condition”.
Julia’s education and experience surely makes her one of the best well rounded and knowledgeable artists that I have met. Here is a list of schools Julia attended.
